Aparrently if you are trying to view any of the media pages in Firefox they don't work. I don't know why this is but I'll look in to it. If you are really desperate to view the media pages then you will have to go through Explorer or Safari, it works in both of them.
If anyone else has experienced the same problems while using Simpleviewer and knows how to fix it then I'd like to know how to fix it.
Thanks!

I told you I was going to do an update.....

Last weekend was a bit wierd. We managed to ride down the trails 2 days in a row. No rain and not freezing cold. It's not right. Then we got to ride the amazing tunnel that the locals have, you may have seen it in Ride to Glory. Cheers to Dan for inviting us there, we met up with him and one of the other locals who's name i forgot (sorry i'm bad at names).
The best bit was that the ramps are only in the front part of the tunnel, leaving 3/4 of a mile to rag the car down as fast as possible. Amazing fun, and quite scary, as the surface in far from roadworthy!
The ramps are solid, but pretty dusty, and the lighting is courtesy of a faithful genny. It's a fun place to ride, but invite only. Not that that that's relevant really because you'd never find it by accident.
I stuck some pics up in Media so go peep. Oh yeah, I hope you all had a Happy Christmas.
Some Ride Articles
I had a couple of articles in Ride this month, Zeal B'day and the Bruza Informer. I stuck the pics from them, plus some that didn't get printed, up in the Mediasection. I was pretty stoked on these, but not as stoked as this...

I think it's probably old hat for Chris, but stoked to see Craig in there too!
merry sifilis and a happy gonohhrea..

This is not an update
This is merely a notice to let you know that an update is imminent. I have been doing a few things here and there and taking some photo's, so I do have something to put up. I may even do it today but I have some presents to wrap.
In the mean time why don't you go and have a little look at my Photobro Craig Tull's q&a in the Shooter section on Dig. Nice one son!

Zeal in Belfast
I learned a few things on this little trip to Belfast. Here's 10 of them:
Cheers to the locals for all being friendly and welcoming! Pics up in Media.
- When sat together on an aeroplane, James and Tom Bruza and Isaac have a combined mental age of 11. Fidget, fart, draw things on sick bags and annoy everybody on the plane (apart from us who found their antics quite amusing.)
- If you're planning on going street riding in Belfast in November all day, then take some gloves with you. And don't be fooled in to thinking that your t-shirt and 2 jumpers will keep you warm - they won't.
- Contrary to popular belief, the Guinness tastes no different over there than it does to here. It's just a bit smoother because they actually let it settle for a long time (119 seconds approx.) before serving.
- Some people still can't get their heads around N.Ireland being part of the UK. Especially when we needed our passports to get in to the country and they have different looking money. For those still confused - the passports are for ID at the airport, and the money looks different because the Northern Irish banks make it, but it's still £ sterling.
- They have funny bread that they didn't realise we don't eat.
- Tom Bruza is clumsy
- High jump contests over a jumpbox will end in broken limbs
- One can sleep better in a warm house on a sofa than in a cold skatepark on the floor.
- Monster energy drink is a bit rubbish.
- No matter where you are, fat girls in rock clubs will always kiss each other.
Cheers to the locals for all being friendly and welcoming! Pics up in Media.

"Mr Griffin, i have M.S." "Oooh Chris, you hear that? He's got monkey scrotum.. And he's bragging about it.."
unless youve been living under a rock you would've more than likely heard of the nike video, well you also probaly saw all the sections on the come up first.. but anyhow, watch the trailer below and go watch the sections on the site, denis enarsons last trick is unbelievable, and lets not get started on garret reynolds section, in my opinion theyre the only two sections worth watching, i nearly went into a coma watching spinners section..
my 'website' is pretty much done now, its the most basic site ever, just made up of pictures basically, but im excited about it, if anyone knows anything about podcasts then drop me a line HERE because im struggling hahaha.
the web video will be up in 2-3 weeks.. im fucking on it..

I'm with Stupid

Yesterday I booked my ticket to Estonia for Simpel Session. In case you have not yet booked, heed this word of warning. Check the date, then check the date again. Long story short, I didn’t check the date, I went and booked up. £100 later, very happy. Thought I’d better check the date (after booking) and went on Simpel Session 08 website. Realised I got the dates wrong. Fuck it, I have to change the dates. Changed the dates online. £40 later I had a feeling something was amiss. Simpel Session 08… Simpel Session 08… Hmmmm… I’m not going to Simpel Session in the past. What a dick. I was right the first time! I knew I was wrong before I even bothered to re-check. I rang up and pleaded to be let off a second £40 charge. She was kind and only charged me £15.
The moral of the story. If you have budget brain cells, get someone else to book your flight for you.
I’d better get into boarding group A for that price!

Put me to sleep with your kind boots Mr Fancyman...
Oh Hey!
I went to see The Mighty Boosh live in Brighton last night. Gosh, it was a jolly good time. So many LOLs I let a wee out a bit in my trousers. If you didn’t get tickets, unlucky. If you have tickets and yet to see the show, you are in for a treat. You plagiaristic yellow bastard.

At the end of the month I will be popping over to Belfast to this all nighter with some of the Zeal riders. Should be a good time, I hear it’s lovely over there this time of year.

NGTE Pyestock Exploration

I bloody love derelict old buildings. I'm lucky enough to live right near a site once used for military development, arguably one of the best urbex sites in the country. Stupidly, I have only been unaware of this amazing site until fairly recently. It was wet yesterday, I was at a loose end, so decided to go check it out. I had originally planned to explore the west side of the site, which carries a slightly higher risk of capture/memory card deletion/slap on the wrist, but soon after my reccy saw two minibuses full of army cadets enter the site, so thought better of it. I chose to check out the water treatment plant, which is on the eastern side, with very little chance of capture (not that I new that when I was cutting a hole in the fence mind). I got inside one main water tower, which was scary as fuck, really dark, drip drip drip off the roof every few seconds, and every tiny sound echoes. Very horror-film, but cool as hell. I followed the perimeter fence to get to the main site, but came across a security building so turned back and got on the roof of the water treatment plant, and inside through an open window. The workshop is still full of tools, plans, magazines, safety gear. Literally like everyone just got up and left one day. Go and have a look at the pics in the Media section. I'm planning on going back soon. Maybe even today.
Edit: So I planned to post this up yesterday, I was pretty tired from the previous day and was just chilling, looking at other peoples pis from this place, it made me a bit excited in the tummy. It wasn't raining outside, I got the sudden urge to just pack up my gear and get back there while it was still daylight. This time I had a vague map (taken on my fone off the computer screen) and just kind of winged it. I got in to the main site ok, but inside is another layer of security fencing. I was literally shitting myself, I could hear people - or maybe it was my imagination. I eventually found my way past the security fence and legged it to the nearest building. I could see the roof was accessible, so headed straight for there, although getting there was well risky because I had to go up a fire escape with no cover from passing security. It was a good view of the site from up there.
I entered the main room and literally couldn't believe what i saw. 8 MASSIVE power generators (2 of which can power a town with ease) along with pressure chambers, control units, the lot. Literally amazing. The control room has a wall of 1950's controls and dials, and a massive narrow corridor behind a door which I was no way in hell going down. I've seen the films, I.know what happens to those people.
On my way out I decided to get a couple more outdoors shots, fired one off and looked over my shoulder to see two security guards walking towards me. FUCK FUCK FUCK!! I'm not sure if they saw me, I bolted like a little rabbit and hid n the nearest hole i could. Well I was just backed in to a small corner, behind a rubbish bit of fence. It was the best I could do in the circumstances. I waited 5 minutes, or 2, it felt ages. I figured they had gone. My heart was beating out of my chest, I ventured out again and with my fear induced tunnel vision, ran like the flipping wind. Luckily I was right by the hole I came in by, so I darted through there, throught the woods and through the main fence again to safety.
I'm so glad I didn't get caught, not so much for getting in trouble, more because I really really didn't want my card erased. That would suck. It's all good, i got the pics. Check out the Media section, Pyestock #1 for Saturay, and #2 for sunday. Phew!

The Banger
You've probably already seen this on TheComeUp or wherever. I usually skip most of the vids on there, but a bit of UK footage is always good so I watched it. The vid is ok I suppose, you know, OK. Just fast forward to the last trick, that's all I'll say. Or watch the whole thing if you have a couple of minutes to kill before checking Facebook again.

Hungry Anyone?
Sooo it’s around lunchtime, I’m thinking about food, the kitkat I just ate hasn’t filled me up, so what better to do than sit on my ass and look at food on the interweb instead of actually eating some.
Well looky looky… I think I may have found the most amazing place on earth. Greasy horrible fatty burgers, super high caffeine coke, and fags sans filters. All in one convenient location. Oh and did I mention the nurses? THE NURSES!! HAVE YOU SEEN THE NURSES??!! They even sell candy ciggies for the kids.
"Quadruple bypass please. Yeah I'll go large for 30p extra. I'll have a Diet Coke with that."

Finest Rump Steak. Rare.

I’m pretty sure I’ve made up my mind to sell everything I own and make a pilgrimage to this place. I’ll walk if I have to.
In un-related news, i think I found the bike on which the lawnmower-fufanu was invented.

Sweet Milky Bacon....

In case you didn't know, Zeal turned 1 year old the other day. Amazing. So to celebrate this we attended a jam which was kindly hosted by Ben Manual from the olden days, at his skatepark, Pitwheels, in Upton which is really really far away in the Narth.
So Me James, Josh Wiles, Bruza and Mikey - oh wait not Mikey, because Mikey had the sniffles. Waaa, waaaaa. Anyway we went up there in the morning and Mayo met us later with Haggler. The park is in three sections, a main room with a couple of spines, jump box, a selection of vert walls and a hip, a mini ramp room, and a wierd room linking in from the main one with a vertwall, hip, and big slack quarter oppoite a wallride. The whole lot was pretty tight, but well packed in. Quite scary too cos some of it was higher than the rafters which is a bit off putting.
Ben has this place dialled, it's soo good to watch. So for the day we rode, and met some cool people. It was a good vibe with everyone doing their own thing. There are some amazing locals there, Gaz Wilson for one. Fucking hell is all I have to say. He ain't no Andy Hall though (who by the way hasn't really hurt his leg, he's just in it for the sympathy), and Chips. He's a one off for sure.
After riding for ages we went to the local bar, conveniently placed right downstairs. I thought I'd just stepped in to an episode of Phoenix Nights. We'd just missed the hypnotist for christs sake. THE HYPNOTIST?...
So a few of us sampled the local brew, took in the sights, and danced to oops up side your head, while Chips and Mayo (??? Why the hell didn't I realise that was so funny at the time?!) picked up a couple of local ladies. Mayo took them back to the skatepark to teach them how to ride wich was funny, and I nearly had a panic attack when one started using my camera un-supervised. Loads of funny shit happened, we all got a bit fuzzy, and went to bed in a big man pile while watching Till Monkeys Fly. Cheers to Ben for letting us run riot in the skatepark. And Cheers to Hitcher for driving 9500 miles. Want some pics?
Here's a vid I nicked off Zeal

Whatever Yeah?
Right where do I start?... First of all there are some extra pics from Budget Jam in the Media Section which Ride didn't use. Bruza did an awesome write up for Budget and I sent off a few pics. Here's what it looks like....

Forge is off to Canada in a couple of weeks, so as advertised we had a little jam down the log to see him off. Once again Josh did his thing with the timber and constructed a rather nice little kicker which adorned the drive way. The turnout was pretty good, everyone was riding around and having a jolly old time. I snapped a few piccies, up on the Media page.. Forge was the founder of i3MX which many of you may have visited time and time again before the days of Myspace. He will be missed, but I'm sure he will have a swell old time over the pond. Good luck Kris! Just in time for the sort of winter you don't want to fuck with.
On Sunday Me, Dayson, Mayo and Haggler (oh yeah and Roy. Can't forget Roy...) popped over to a secret spot which has been allocated to a rider from the old days who none of you will know. Currently at the secret location is a foam pit (with the foam still on the way), a dumper truck and not one, but two diggers. Smashing! The best bit about this spot is the fact that you pretty much have to pass through a petting zoo to get there, complete with a load of funny goats and some small horses. More pics to come, but here's some to keep you sweatting.....

Who the hell puts a foam pit in their garden??

Brighton Backyard 2008
You thought the Backyard Jam was all over and done with right? I don't know when the last one happened in Brighton, it was a few years ago I know that much. I popped down to the coast this weekend with Old Man Forge to meet up with Merman, where he said about this backyard setup. So we rode of about 100 miles up hill to this guys house. I was expecting a 4 foot mini. Oh no, this is a proper job. 4 sided 5-6ft (ish) mini with [unfinished] vert wall, wallride and bowled corner. The transitions were tight and that combined with blinding sun in to black shade caused a few mishaps, but it was all good. It was a fun session, so cheers to Rich for allowing us to ride. Check the pics in the Media Section.
After the ramp we hit some street. Merman was shredding (his hands) and I got a sequence of Dunc - not me, a different one - going pegs 180.
I still can't believe the weather was good!
I almost forgot to mention, we went to see Curst Sons on Friday night. Good ol' country music. Actually amazing.
Don't forget the Jam next weekend!
RIP Kris Forge
(Ride In Parts [of Canada]) that means.Yeah Kristian Forge the fabled BMXer of Farnborough second only to Chet Barrow local hero is skulking off to Canada for ever in a few weeks to live the dream like tree or a pole man. To commemorate this we will be holding the Kris Forge Memorial Jam on Saturday October 18th at Fboro wonderpark. Come down and do some stunts all up on yourself. If anyone has Josh Wiles number i need it asap.
So yeah, if you see
this chap, wish him well.
Sorry about the in jokes.
The weather looks like this by the way!
(At the time of writing the weather was looking good. Therollingimage.com can not take responsibility for changes barometric pressure)

Surprise!
Welcome to the new look therollingimage.com. When I first created my website I intended it to be somewhat of a portfolio for all aspects of my photography. In the year or so that I have had Therollingimage I found that I rarely updated the parts that were nothing to do with BMX, so I have shelved them for the moment and made it BMX only. I'm pretty sure that the majority of you lot are only interested in the BMX side of things anyway.
I have created a new media section, so if I have a significant photo update to do you will find it there. As well as photo's up on here you should see the odd video or two from Mike King as well, who's always busy with is camera.
BO!
