OK Here Goes...
Well I suppose I must say sorry for not doing any updates lately. I have kept on meaning to do them but just haven't really had the urge. Luckily I woke up really early this morning and although I haven't actually left my bed other than to make a cuppa or go for a wee it's been fairly productive.
First of all I thought I should post up some old stuff. Well not old, but stuff I shot a while back that never got used. The first one is Martyn Cooper downwhipping at Corbizzle. This is one I shot for the Role Models issue of ride that they didn't print.

Talking of ride the Uni article that Dayson and Tinhead made (and I photo'd) is in this month and looks rad. I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

Here's another pic of Brad which we shot when it was raining outside. He does this so quick it was harder than shooting barspins (which I've got down to an average of 3-4 attempts, less if i've had a redbull). They used the cancan pic instead, which in hindsight is actually a lot nicer pic.

In non-BMX related news me, Mayo and Black went on a little jaunt last weekend to where the sea is. The plan was to go crabbing but we soon gave up on that and went pot-holing on the seabrake rocks instead. Brave or stupid? Probably stupid, but quite good fun, even if it was terrifyingly claustrophobic at times. We started off by going in to smaller and smaller gaps, then trying to make our way in and out of the rocks by going through tiny tunnels, unsure if we'd A) get stuck in a tunnel, or B) be able to get out once we made it through said tunned. Needless to say we all survived, then went for an ice cream.

This hole Black is crouching in is literllay the size of a crouching man. I.e. very small (and a bit smelly). Which by coincidence is how I like my women.
Squeeeze....

Planning the next route
Too many pies

Black found an arrow-head.

I went to visit Isaac with the Bruzas and Sean lafferty from Scotland on Friday night/Saturday to shoot some photo's. The evening got off to a good start, took a few at Basildon bowl (the car park with transition wall all round it) then headed in to town. Long story short, there's a massive set of steps. Isaac wanted to whip them, I took forever setting up, it was not lit very well, one hit wonder. Isaac whipped them first attempt, dialed, to the pedals, no messing about. I got the pic, but could not have got it more out of focus if I tried. Now my excuse is that waaay to dark for auto focus, and with no obvious reference for manual I took my best guess. Turns out I'm not a great guesser. So anyway here's the pic. Now you can see why I was a bit peeved. (Though between you and me, I'm not feeling this angle now anyway.)
Manly.
Tom Bruza hang nothing'd this whole ledge at least twice too which was rad. Mad skills.

The following day we hit Leigh and Rom. Isaac was going off (pics with held) and the Bruza boys were shredding the hip. Good ting.
Tommy-B wangin it about..

James-B not being put off by me being right in the way. No.... not one bit! (That's a lie)
Rom was good as ever. Again Isaac was getting ridiculous (9ft whip air anyone?) and Billy Purcell was owning the place like he does. Styling it out with some beautiful non-frilly tables. All in all a good day, especially as the weather man said it was going to be wet. What a nob.
This kid spends a lot of his time eating shit. He doesn't seem to mind too much though. Sean Lafferty (currently living in the Bruzs garage) oppo flair.

Isaac, front jam on the shed roof.

Yes Bill.
There you go, I did an update. I bet you never thought you'd see the day!

Gotta love the weather
Just in time for the Easter weekend, beautiful British summer kicks in. Lovely job. Cup of tea anyone?

Drifting eh? What a wierd sport. Not as as wierd as street biking though. Street biking is akin to going out and buying a brand new BMX, and then smashing the shit out of it in front of a load of spectators. Saying that I'm sure they think the same about BMX.
Anyway I went to this thing in Newcastle last weekend with the Zeal lot. I didnt really know what to expect, but just went along for the ride really, nothing else fun to do. The event was basically a car show, but with some ramps for a bit of side show entertainment. The setup was quarters both ends, with a box and spine in the middle. Pretty basic. There was a little comp for the kids, and the rest of the time it was just there for people to ride willy nilly. Some people did stuff, it was ok.
The drifting on the other hand.....! Well that was pretty off the hook. I can't tell much about the cars apart from they were loud and wheel-spinny. Mad skills from the drivers who were just practicing for some time trial. They came out one at a time at first, round the small circuit just thrown together in a car park, absolutely caning it, then a couple came round together, then 4, bumper to bumper, literally inches from each other. Well good.
Saturday night we all went out to a bar where Ive never seen so much sausage, then moved on to a different bar with a little less sausage, found booze on the way, got drunk, hid booze, annoyed women, met Billy Mills off the telly, didn't see many orange girls which was dissapointing, Isaac got his foot run over, Ummm and probably lots more besides. Then slept at Tom Kirkbys house. Thanks Tom.
That's about it really, Sunday was a write off (for me) then we drove for 100 hours to get home.
Good times good times, cheers to Hitcher for driving.
(Can you tell I just got bored writing this?)
